At General Convention in 2009, the statement on Interreligious Relations was passed. The Rev. Canon Dr. Denise Yarbrough, Canon for Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations for the Diocese of Rochester, New York presents an outline of this statement.
Recorded at an EDEIO plenary at the National Workshop for Christian Unity in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2012.
Update: The PowerPoint for this presentation is available on the NWCU 2012 page on this site.
1st day of NWCU includes an overview of the schedule and an address by president Daniel Hamby, then some small group work on reception, and opening worship tonight.
Ecumenical and Interreligious officers from all over the country begin to gather tomorrow for the National Workshop on Christian Unity in Oklahoma City. Keep checking here for updates from NWCU and EDEIO.
The National Workshop for Christian Unity is coming up April 16-19 and we hope to see you all there! Note that you must register with NWCU and EDEIO separately. Online registration and payment for the NWCU portion is available here. (Note that if you are paying online and planning to attend the Wednesday night activity you need to pay for that separately.) Despite hard work by our exchequer, we have still not been able to set up PayPal for this year’s EDEIO registration, so use the tried and true snailmail method. The EDEIO registration form is available here. See you in OK!
Update: The Early Bird registration has just been extended until the 22nd!
